Multiple Teams · Baseball: Summer Update

Hello Warriors and Warrior Parents! I hope you are all doing well during these unparalleled times. I write to you tonight as I have received more clarity from the Rockies on tickets, and the administration and the district on what we will be allowed to do this Summer.

As far as the the Rockies tickets here is what they have told me, ” The Rockies will offer a ticket exchange plan for those who have purchased tickets through your fundraiser this year. Once an updated MLB schedule is released, you will be notified with more ticket exchange information that you can relay to your team and customers. The Colorado Rockies would like to thank you for your patience during this unprecedented time, and we look forward to seeing our fans back at Coors Field as soon as possible.”
If you would like a return on your funds please let me know and we will get it processed as quick as possible.
For the Summer I was informed today that we will only be allowed to work in groups of 4:1. As well as we will not be allowed to share ANY equipment including baseballs. We will have to wear masks and take temperatures. These rules will apply at any and all SVVSD facility. If our players do choose to attend camps or play in any games, I am not allowed to be directly associated in anyway, as it could put my job in jeopardy. I love our young men and wish I could be more involved but for the time being these are the guidelines in which I must abide. I will continue to work on the recruiting side and be involved with any training and off season process that I can. I am allowed a 9:1 ratio if we meet in a classroom setting and there is zoom meetings as well, how to translate that into baseball, is still something I am working on. I know you will be contacted by my partner in the Roughnecks Harold Simmons, who will get to you all some options and opportunities this Summer. I will not and cannot be directly involved in these but have the utmost faith in Harold to provide quality staff and instruction for our men.
We need to set up times to do exit meeting so here is a link to sign up, .
We would like to start them Monday and these meetings will include Myself, your level Head Coach, you and preferably at least one parent.
My heart aches for all our ball players as they were amazing all off season and were on the precipice of a very amazing and successful season. I want all you parents to know this could not have been the case without your efforts and supports. In my first year here in Frederick I have been blessed with the hardest working young men and the best group of parent leaders I could have ever hoped for! I cannot thank you enough. The staff and I will continue to hold the bar high as we believe that our ascension in the pantheon of Colorado Baseball has just begun!
I do have a little more bad news and some good news. It is bittersweet but, Coach Squire will be leaving us as he has been accepted into law school! I personally will miss Squi as he is a great man of character and a wealth of baseball knowledge. Squire will truly be missed.
On the good news front congratulations to Coach Cifrese on winning Educator of the year in SVVSD for his school of Olde Columbine High School. He works his tail off for us and the young men in this district and it is an honor well deserved! Frank is a rock for us and I am proud to have him with us!
Thank you all for your time and please as always reach out ot me or any of the staff if you should have questions.
