FHS Basketball Families,
I hope everyone had a great holiday weekend! It was very exciting to have over 30 players show up to our Fall basketball meeting and I wanted to pass along the information we discussed.
#1. Beginning on Tuesday, September 3rd there will be daily workouts before school. Monday/Wednesday/Friday will be weight lifting & plyometrics with Coach Rick and Tuesday/Thursday will be skill work in the gym with Coach Enoch. In addition there will be one team practice per week on Monday nights from 6:45pm – 8:15pm. ANY STUDENT interested in trying out for the team this year is welcome to join these workouts.
*There is a total of 39 available morning workouts and coaches decided that if a player makes at least 30 they will receive a t-shirt and custom pair of shorts*
#2. We will be forming at least 2 teams (possibly 3) to participate in the Power to Play League in October. Teams will be made based on skill, age, practice attendance, and interest (total numbers). We will for sure have a freshman team and a varsity team but if initial interest is sustained we may have an additional freshman team or JV. We will make this decision by the end of this week (September 8th).
#3. We will also have a VARSITY only team playing on Tuesday nights in the Pinnacle HS League. This will be an invite only team as we will only carry 9 players to ensure a good experience for everyone.
#4. SCHEDULE – I have attached the Fall Schedule to this article however dates/times are always subject to change based on Fall Sports, gym issues, league issues, etc. so please make sure to sign-up on our website for alerts (How to – Below) if you have not already. Also, remember that you can always find the most up to date schedule on our google calendar on the website – CLICK HERE if you don’t have it already.

#5. Interest/Participation (or partially participating) in the Fall is completely voluntary and does not play a role in regular season tryouts. We FULLY SUPPORT our Fall & Spring sport athletes and want any player in-season to give their full attention to that sport. Our Fall schedule is an opportunity to help our players that have schedule availability improve and continue playing.
#6. Cost = Practices/Workouts are free – Participation in a league is $50 per league / per player – THIS IS DUE BEFORE THE FIRST GAME
