!!FOOTBALL CHEER CLINIC!!

The football clinic is scheduled for September 14, 9am-12pm at FHS.

This is our biggest fundraiser of the season. We need every cheerleader to help recruit at least 5 little ones for the clinic. Junior Cheerleader Coaches are not required to recruit 5 kiddos because of the time spent working with the junior cheerleaders but are being asked to help spread the word. Don’t forget your teachers – hand deliver flyers and help get those kiddos to the clinic!

Spirit Can

We need full size candy bars for the Spirit Cans. Each cheerleader needs to bring 36 full sized candy bars no later than September 9

College Athletic Meeting:

If you have college athletic aspirations, please consider attending our NCAA Eligibility seminar on September 10 in the auditorium at 6:30pm. We will have a nationally certified expert presenting.

CHSAA bylaw

1740.1 No make-up work shall be permitted after the close of the semester and/or the designated
periodic eligibility check for the purpose of becoming eligible; and a “condition” (incomplete,
unfulfilled outcome, etc.) shall, for the purpose of determining eligibility, count as a failure.
1740.11 This rule is pointed directly at the student who, through his/her own lack of effort,
fails to pass sufficient work to be eligible for athletics in the succeeding semester,
and then asks the opportunity to do make-up work to rectify his/her laxity.

If a student is in an after school activity, they should be working diligently on thier classwork.
The confusion we run into most often is the “MISSED CLASS EXCUSED”, Please be aware, if a student misses a class with an excused absence they have 2 days to make it up for eligibility concerns, and will not be held against the student. If it is an unexcused absence the grade will reflect the missed assignments.

Flocking

We have finished flocking for the 2019-2020 season. We flocked 8 houses and made $175.00  We will begin advertising in the spring and start flocking again once the school year is finished. More details to come at a later date! Thank you to all the parent drivers and the cheerleaders for making this a successful first year!
