Boy’s Basketball Families,
Hello! I hope everyone has had a peaceful and energizing summer. It is hard to believe that, once again, it is time to get back into the swing of things for school. On that note… The boys basketball program will be volunteering for the annual “B Strong Ride (ex-Nuggets Coach George Karl) Cancer Bike Race in Boulder. In exchange for our services this organization donates $500 to our program. This is one of the most pleasant volunteer opportunities we do all year as we mostly pull full trash bags, look for loose trash, and help with cleanup at the day’s conclusion. Also, there is always a live “funk” band along with many tents that offer all workers free food and drinks. I believe last year they offered food from Oskar Blues as well as several other local Boulder/Longmont restaurants. We will need 12 players or parents to volunteer from 11am – 5pm (we seem to finish a little early every year). If you weren’t able to volunteer last year and or weren’t able to help with bingo at all this summer this would be a great opportunity to help out.
Please sign-up HERE on the google spreadsheet asap so we are not scrambling as we near the date.
