Meet Recap

The Frederick High Girls’ Golf Team finished sixth in today’s Tri-Valley league tournament at the unique and unusual Mad Russian Golf Club in Milliken. Erin Baum again led the team with a 94, placing 9th individually. Cassie Palmer shot 105, good for 18th individually, Payton Wallace shot 107 (21st). Special congratulations go to Jenna Frenzel whose career-best round of 109 placed 24th. The team total of 306 was barely edged out of a fifth place finish by host team Roosevelt’s 305, and trailed fourth place Berthoud by only five shots.

According to Coach Kipp, “Given the very unusual nature of the golf course, the fact that none of our players (nor myself) had seen the course before, and our community experiencing some very upsetting local news last evening, this was really a solid effort by all four players”.
