Meet Recap

The Frederick High School Boys’ Golf Team had a difficult day at yesterday’s Tri-Valley League tournament hosted by Berthoud High School at Mariana Butte Golf Course in Loveland. The Warriors finished eighth out of the nine league teams on a course with a very challenging back nine which has numerous hazards which are tough to negotiate. The team was led by Nick Formby who shot 85 with nines of 48 and 37, reflecting how much more difficult the back nine holes played. Joe Cartelli carded an 89, which tied his lowest round this season. Of the remaining varsity players, Cade Ridenour posted a 96, Colton Gabbard had 97, and Davis Richard had 104.

Riley Morehead and Brayden Berringer, our two Junior Varsity players in yesterday’s event, shot 110 and 111 respectively and gained valuable tournament experience which will benefit them in future seasons!

The team will have a week to prepare for the 4A Regional tournament next Tuesday, September 19 at Boomerang Golf Links in Greeley.
