Meet Recap

The Frederick High Warrior Girls Golf Team continued to improve in Wednesday’s Skyline Invitational Golf Tournament at Saddleback Golf Course in Frederick. The Frederick team total score of 314 produced a 6th place finish out of 20 teams competing.

Leading the team once more was Erin Baum whose 93 in windy conditions was 10th of 72 players in the field. Erin was followed by Payton Wallace who continued to improve her play, shooting 109, Cassie Palmer who continued her steady play shooting 112, and Jenna Frenzel who also improved her finish in the field, shooting 130.

“I am very encouraged by the consistent dedication in practice, and the competitive nature of each of our four varsity players”, said Coach William Kipp. “I think that each player has the potential to score up to ten shots per round lower than their scores today. If they continue to work on the correct shots and situations in practice we will continue scoring better in tournaments. This is still a very young team and I feel sure that they will each continue to develop as players over the next season or two.”

The next event for the Warrior Girls will be Monday in Skyline’s Tri-Valley League Tournament at Fox Hill Country Club in Longmont.
