Frederick High School played host to the CHSAA 4A Region 2 wrestling tournament this past weekend.  14 teams took part in the state qualifying event, featuring 151 wrestlers, including 11 from FHS.  The top four finishers in each weight class qualified for the state tournament, which takes place Feb 16-18 at the Pepsi Center in downtown Denver.

Frederick’s Jake Longstreth earned the 195 lb regional title, winning four matches by pin on his way to the title. With his regional championship, Jake earned the fourth seed in the state tournament, where he will be competing to be the first state placer from FHS in several years.

Tickets will be available at the Pepsi Center box office.  The state tournament schedule can be found here.

Parking at the Pepsi Center will cost you $15 if you pay cash, $10 if you use a credit card.

Please come out and support Jake as he competes for a state medal!
